Chris Rutkowski
Chris Rutkowski is a science writer with degrees in astronomy and education.
Since the mid-1970s, he has been devoting much of his time to investigating and studying reports of UFOs, writing about case investigations and offering his insights into the broad UFO phenomenon.
He has nine published books, including: - Visitations? (1989); - Unnatural History (1993); - Mysterious Manitoba (1997), co-authored with Dave Creighton and Brian Fidler; - Abductions and Aliens (2000); - Stories From the Diner (2005), a collection of short stories based on strange incidents taken from his non-fiction files and speculations on "What if?"; - The Canadian UFO Report (2006), co-authored with Geoff Dittman, a chronological review of the most interesting Canadian UFO cases throughout history; - A World of UFOs (2008), about the global nature of the UFO phenomenon; - I Saw It Too! (2009), a book for young readers about young people who have reported seeing UFOs and/or aliens; - The Big Book of UFOs (2010). He also has contributed chapters to several anthologies such as: Phenomenon: From Flying Saucers to UFOs (1988), Frontiers of Reality: Where Science Meets the Paranormal (1991); and UFOs 1947-1987 (1987), a 40th anniversary collection of UFO cases.
Rutkowski has appeared on numerous TV programs, including Unsolved Mysteries, Sightings, CBC's Undercurrents and A&E's The Unexplained.
(He was even the subject of an article in the tabloid newspaper Weekly World News!)
He has also been on numerous radio shows and podcasts discussing UFOs and related phenomena.
Since 1989, Rutkowski and colleague Geoff Dittman have been doing analyses of Canadian UFO report data, and have published annual studies called The Canadian UFO Survey.
